Howard Beach Columbus Day Foundation
The Howard Beach Columbus Day Foundation is the proud sponsor of the Annual
Howard Beach Columbus Day Parade. The Columbus Day Parade is New
York City's second largest Columbus Day Parade. The Foundation
is composed of more than 100 Howard Beach residents of Italian heritage who have made significant contributions to the Foundation
and the Howard Beach neighborhood. With the continuing support of our members, we as a Foundation provide
support to various causes that encompass our community as a whole. Columbus Day
is a Federal holiday recognized through a special proclamation signed by
President Reagan in 1984.
Columbus Day is officially observed on the second Monday of October, the month
that celebrates and promotes Italian culture and heritage. As dedicated founders
and members of the Howard Beach Columbus Day Foundation, we invite you to
participate in our spectacular Parade, which takes place on Cross Bay Boulevard,
Howard Beach, Queens, NY.
